In case you didn’t know, I write for another AMAZING blog almost every day. MomStart is my other bloggy home away from Momicles… and I LOVE writing for her. If you haven’t taken the time to check it out, you REALLY should. Anywho, One of the other things I LOVE about MomStart is the opportunity to really reach out, use our platform for something productive, and participate in charities. That’s why this post (originally featured on MomStart) is so amazing. Just by sharing a video (that people NEED to watch), and having all of my friends read it, I am raising money to help end children’s hunger.
I usually reserve Monday’s to share recipes full of meaty goodness, but after my trip to BlogHer this past weekend, I thought this was a much better idea. One of my favorite sausage companies, Jimmy Dean, has an AMAZING partnership going on right now. While I was in NYC, I met the brightest guy I’ve ever known – The Jimmy Dean Sun! I love the ad campaign that Jimmy Dean has going on with the sun. It’s so bright, fun, and cheerful… something that I think everyone needs.
The best part about my interview with the sun is the amazing philanthropic push behind it. For each video view (so actually playing it from beginning to end) that my interview with the sun video receives until August 18th, Jimmy Dean will donate $5 to Share Our Strength in support of the No Kid Hungry campaign. THAT is the best part of the whole thing. So, please (PLEASE) watch this video… then share it with your friends. How easy is that? And you can feel good about it, because you know you’re raising money for an incredible program.
