Once upon a time, there was a kitten in Asheboro – a tiny, lonely, lost little kitten. One day he decided to try and cross the busy 64 E traffic. Lucky for him, a lovely young lady was traveling home from Charlotte. She pulled off of the road and whisked him up from the curb, stopping traffic, and saving the scruffy little kitty’s life. He was scruffy… VERY scruffy.
After realizing that there were no other kitties around, uttering a few select phrases like (Oh shoot, what do I do now?), and getting some kind “No we do not need a kitten right now,” words from her husband, the aforementioned lady took the lonely lost kitten to the vet.
The lovely young lady had a lovely young friend who agreed to foster the scruffy little kitten. The scruffy little kitten got scrubbed, fed, scrubbed some more, cuddled, snuggled, and scrubbed some more. (This kitten was not without the not so loveliness that comes from living the life of a street-kitten…)
By the time the lovely young friend took the scruffy kitten home (to FOSTER), the little kitten had decided she was his mommy.
Now the scruffy kitten has grown… some. The foster home has become a little more permanent. And I can’t help but say it… They lived happily ever after.
